About the Award

The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database Recognition Award is presented to outstanding graduates and residents worldwide who have shown an interest in an evidence-based approach to patient care. The editors of Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database believe information on this subject should be analyzed according to the same evidence-based standards that apply to prescription and non-prescription drugs.

Your faculty members have developed their own criteria for selecting the awardee from your institution.

The recipient of this award receives:

  1. The awardee, along with his/her biographical sketch and accomplishments, will be listed and recognized in the "Award Recipients" section of Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database.
  2. One year of complimentary access to the entire Database at www.NaturalDatabase.com.
  3. A printed version of Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database (the printed version is over 2,000 pages yet it still represents only a portion of the entire Database that appears online.
  4. Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database mobile version.
  5. Use of Product Selector, Interaction Checker, Commercial Product Identifier.

Natural Supplements: An Evidence-Based Update
in San Diego on January 31- February 3, 2013.

The winner of the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database / Scripps Conference Grant will receive a travel expenses-paid trip to the Scripps Conference, Natural Supplements: An Evidence-Based Update, in San Diego, California on January 31 - February 3, 2013. The grant will include airfare, hotel, and tuition to the Scripps Conference for the winning individual who successfully submits his/her essay on their special project related to natural medicines to the satisfaction of the judges in accordance with the Grant Application Guidelines.

Eligibility

The invitation to participate, and eligibility to win the grant, is extended to every recipient of the Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database Recognition Award.

All entries must be about your own activities or project related to natural medicines or integrative therapies.

How to Apply

Essays should be 500-2000 words in length, excluding references and diagrams. Please submit essays in Adobe Acrobat PDF or Microsoft Word format. Only individuals may submit essays for consideration. Submissions from organizations will not be considered. Essays submitted for consideration must be your own work.

Deadline

The entry deadline is October 1, 2012 at 12:00 midnight (U.S. Pacific Standard Time). Essays should be submitted via email to Alicia Calvillo acalvillo@pletter.com.

Submissions will be judged by a panel of our editors based on the quality of the written essay, creativity of the project, and potential impact of the project. The winner will be notified by email at the address provided with the relevant submission by November 15, 2012.
