Pfizer will be promoting Lyrica (pregabalin) for some types of seizures and neuropathic pain.

Some people are calling Lyrica the "son of gabapentin." The two drugs seem to have similar effects.

Lyrica is more potent. It's hoped that lower doses will mean less fatigue and other side effects...but this hasn't been proven.
