Crixivan is hard to get. Merck can not produce it fast enough, and they're limiting the number of patients started on it.

The big concern is that if patients have trouble getting it...and they stop and restart their therapy...resistance will build up faster.

Make sure patients are committed to being compliant before you add a protease inhibitor to their regimen. Patients even have to be prepared to suffer through the side effects.
